Never Did I Dream Before, C.L.

When I as in my high school, I believed into the Lord through my teacher. I was inspired to be a normal Christian and like all the Christians do, to join a church. I went to a group which my sister met with. Within those couple of months, I enjoyed myself in the joy of salvation. However, I, later found that my joy in the Lord was decreasing. I did not know what was going on. My faith was shaking. I did not know the way out, therefore I talked to my classmate who also was a Christian. Eventually, she invited me to go to her meeting in the local church.

Although I forgot the details of what they shared on, I could not forget the scene. Every one of the attendants about 20 persons, shared what they experienced of Christ in their daily living. While they were singing, they clapped and smiled. I could tell they were really enjoying the Lord. They were joyful and buoyant. Even though I realized through observation that some of their practices in their meetings were different from what I had before, I really liked them. My impression toward them was very positive. I told myself I wanted to go again next week.

I still meet with the saints in the local church. It is a wonderful place to know the truth in the Bible, God's plan for man, how to love the Lord more deeply and genuinely, how to pursue the Lord with endurance and hope and to be perfected to function in the Body of Christ, etc.. Thank-you Lord for Your leading!

Christ as Mercy

Thank the Lord for His mercy that I can enjoy the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee. It has caused me to love the Lord more and to be strengthened to pursue Him.

Under the ministry of these two brothers, I have seen in the Bible how God has an eternal plan for the whole universe. His desire is to impart Himself into His chosen, redeemed and regenerated people in order that they would be built up as His Body which ultimately consummates in the New Jerusalem for His expression for eternity. This high view of God's revelation in the Bible has enlightened my eyes to see the status we Christians have before God.

Moreover, in these two Christian authors' writings, I have found the way to receive a daily supply of grace. Witness Lee's writings are full of practical helps to enjoy the Lord as grace. For me, I especially enjoy calling on the name of the Lord. This is a spiritual practice mentioned throughout the Old and New Testament. It is a simple way to enjoy the Lord. Romans 10:12 says, “for there is no distinction between Jew and Greek for the same Lord is Lord of all and rich to all who call upon Him.” I can taste His sweetness every moment, everywhere and in every situation. His name is the name above all names. He so desires to become my enjoyment and subjective experience. I never imagined that this was what God was doing in the universe. Thank the Lord for the ministry of Watchman Nee and Witness Lee that has shown me God's plan in the Bible.
